JFK and Newark Interior Fit-Outs
Structure Enabling Immersive Passenger Environments
Agencie has been appointed to work on interior fit-outs for multiple JFK and Newark Airport tenants. These include several airline first-class lounges, with showpiece spaces designed to celebrate New York and the airline’s home country. An expansive food court is also underway, with emphasis on natural light and providing runway views.
In addition, Agencie is responsible for the reconfiguration of the United Airlines’ employee entrance. Our scope for these fit-outs covers multiple areas. As well as suspended artwork, a tensile lighting system hangs from 4-story ceilings. Stone elements require engineered floor reinforcement. Existing walls, beams and slabs have undergone reconfiguration to support new spaces and openings. Millwork and kiosk structural frame design has been undertaken, with an engineered millwork Jumbo pocket door.
