For years, JFK airport was in dire need of an update. That changed with the transformation of Terminal 1, where Agencie served as part of the core and shell engineering team. Following that phase, Agencie continued on the project to engineer the interiors at Terminal 1. We recently moved onto complete interiors at Terminal 4 as well. It's a trajectory that reflects technical expertise both broad and deep, and our ability to round out teams as a genuine value-added MWBE-certified partner.
The interior fit-outs on Terminal 1 are the creation of several signature passenger spaces. Our work includes engineering a custom leaf-inspired canopy for the ASUR Welcome Plaza, developing the structural support strategy for the feature lighting installation at the NTO Food Hall, and engineering the support system for full-height glass partitions within the Korean Air First Class Lounge.
From premium lounges and destination dining to terminal infrastructure upgrades and gate improvements, our work supports the evolving needs of airlines, concessionaires, and terminal operators within one of the world's busiest international gateways
Beyond Terminal One, Agencie continues to support the modernization of JFK Terminal 4 through a range of projects for Delta Air Lines and terminal operators. Our work includes structural engineering for gate expansion initiatives, interior renovations, fire-rated door installations, partition systems, and the replacement and installation of Visual Docking Guidance Systems (VDGS) at sixteen gates within Concourse A. The VDGS program presented unique challenges due to Terminal 4's phased construction history, requiring the evaluation and coordination of multiple façade and structural conditions across the concourse.
This close collaboration with architects, contractors, airlines, and terminal operators reflects Agencie's standing as a highly skilled, MWBE-certified partner. Together, we deliver structural solutions that enhance the passenger experience, improve operational efficiency, and help shape the future of one of the world's premier international airports.
