This rowhouse, built between 1827 and 1845, was destroyed in a fire in 1995, damaging many of the original interior elements such as doors, moldings, and finishes. The clients sought help from Agencie to reconfigure the house into a home fit for modern living, while remaining respectful of the history of the rowhouse.

Agencie created two 2-bedroom duplexes. The Owner’s duplex occupies the upper two floors of the house. Agencie worked closely with the clients, an interior designer, and a furniture collector, to mix mid-century modern fixtures with more contemporary fittings. The project featured extensive custom millwork.

The concrete floor of the bedroom extends into a minimalist wet room. The centerpiece of the bathroom is the MTI standalone tub.
